Postpartum Doula Support
As a postpartum doula I help ease the transition into parenthood by providing families with nurturing support, education, and non-medical care during the first three months after birth, also known as the fourth trimester.
The amount of effort that a newborn requires can often be a surprise, and no one should do it alone. Unfortunately, not everyone has family or friends nearby. Perhaps you do have family…but it’s complicated. Maybe the people you know aren’t supportive of your parenting style. This is where a non-judgmental postpartum doula comes in as an amazing resource.
I wholeheartedly believe that supported parents become confident parents with positive feelings about their babies, partners, and the often overwhelming fourth trimester. Families that are nurtured in turn have that energy to give to themselves and their babies.
As your Postpartum Doula, I’m a sounding board and additional set of hands, and spot the tasks that need attention while you heal, rest, and bond with your baby. I keep in mind your family’s unique needs so I can support you in truly meaningful ways.

6 Postpartum sessions + 1 prenatal session + text support
The postpartum package supports your family in the first 6 weeks after birth. Each postpartum session is 5 hours of support, and the prenatal session is 1 hour. The prenatal session is scheduled upon hiring, and allows us to get to know each other, and discuss your anticipated postpartum needs and preferences. It is also a great time to ask questions about what to expect postpartum, and what items are helpful to have on hand before your birth. In addition to scheduled visits, I am available to you via text during our time together to address any questions and concerns.
what this looks like
I support you in your home, typically 1-2 times per week during the first 6 weeks postpartum. I recommend scheduling our first session the week of the birth so I can help with any emerging lactation or healing issues. Those first weeks focus on rest, recovery, nourishment, and skin-to-skin newborn bonding. For meals and snacks, I provide you with a menu of my nourishing offerings and I prepare the foods in your home. Each session addresses your specific needs on that day, in that moment.
